Determination of the effects of the simultaneous use of ethanol-diesel emulsion as the main fuel and post-injection fuel in a diesel engine on engine performance and emissions

In this article, the effects of heated ethanol diesel blend on emissions were investigated experimentally. Additionally, effect post-injection strategies in AVL Boost model engine, which has same characteristics as experimental engine running with ethanol-diesel emulsion fuel, was a simulation. special designed mixer, (E10) formed 10% and 2% isopropyl stirred at 40 °C. The temperature kept constant between 35-40 °C during experiments. homogeneous residence time blended fuel improved increasing temperature. Post-injection strategy tests 2 different crank angles mathematically analyzed separately for simulation software. NOx decreased E10 low speeds compared to E0 fuel. Slightly increased Bpi2 Bpi1 strategy. addition, soot reduced all speeds. brake specific consumption by 4.36% E0. However, slightly injection experiment.
